This is a 2nd shift position: 2PM-10PM

Job Summary

Ability to operate building system via BAS and FAS , Chiller plant operation. Understanding of electrical trouble shooting and repair. Repair, and maintenance of all base building and critical system machinery and equipment. Respond and complete work orders as needed, assist with daily operation of the building.

What is your day to day?  

• Demonstrating the proper use and care of tools and instruments in basic maintenance, safety, and troubleshooting procedures, and instilling an overall level of professionalism in manner and appearance.
• Specific duties include and are not limited to preventative maintenance of equipment with a minimum disruption of building services, performing and/or delegating preventative maintenance tasks to the appropriately qualified maintenance staff member, orders parts and equipment required.
• Complete monthly assigned safety training.
• Repair, maintenance and installation of new equipment and facilities, maintain inventory.
• Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
• Insures the availability of an adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies. Specific duties include, but not limited to: Preparing and submitting performing periodic checks for supplies. Plumbing and electric.
• All other duties and tasks assigned.

Required

• Minimum of a high school diploma. Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration and HVAC
• 4 years of experience in facility/plant engineering maintenance with at least 4

Preferred

• Experience as a journeyman level engineer with strong skills related to building automation systems, life safety systems and Microsoft Office applications. 
• Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation.
• Must be proficient in basic computer application software such as MS Office, Lotus and E-Mail etc.
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills are required.
• Able to interact with all levels of the organization and outside contractors, architects, and engineers.
• Boilers license preferred.
• Universal HVAC License.
