About the Role
As a Pediatric Mental Health Therapist (Virtual), you will provide virtual, evidence-based mental health counseling and therapeutic interventions to K-12 students within our partner school districts. You will play a key role in ensuring that students receive the mental health support they need while working closely with school personnel, families, and other stakeholders to improve access to care nationwide.
What You'll Do
Provide high-quality, virtual mental health counseling and therapeutic interventions to assigned students.
Conduct initial mental health intake assessments, diagnose as needed, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
Perform clinical screenings and ongoing assessments to monitor student progress.
Collaborate with care management teams to facilitate seamless integration into services and coordinate external transition support when needed.
Maintain compliance with licensing and credentialing requirements, including obtaining additional state licenses as needed.
Participate in clinical team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation in accordance with established guidelines.
Maintain required availability and productivity levels set by clinical leadership.
Provide consultative telehealth crisis support to school partners or students as assigned.

Qualifications
Required: Active, unrestricted licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
Required: Licensed in Kentucky and in the state where you reside.
Additional licensure in AL, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, IA, MD, MA, MO, NV, TX, VA, and/or WA is highly desirable.
Minimum of one year of experience working in a school-based setting or with school-aged children.
Ability to obtain an acceptable FBI fingerprint background check upon hire.
Strong knowledge of mental health diagnosis, assessment practices, treatment strategies, and interventions specific to children and families.
Preferred: Experience providing therapy via telehealth.
Strong technology skills, including the ability to learn new software and complete digital documentation efficiently.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills across multiple platforms.
Willingness to obtain additional state licensure (paid for by the organization) as needed.
Willingness to complete credentialing requirements before providing services.
Bilingual skills are a plus (Spanish, Mandarin, Armenian, Russian, Korean, and Tagalog are highly desired).
Availability to work on a 10-month, school-year-based schedule.
