Duties

• Knowledgeable of Georgia GELDS. Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate engaging activities that are developmentally appropriate and meet each child's needs.
• Plan individual and group activities to stimulate cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor skills growth.
• Conduct Parent Teacher Conferences
• Daily operations of the classroom and meeting all state guidelines and requirements.
• Supervises teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Participates in required training programs, conferences, courses, or other aspects of professional growth.
• Greet children and parents/guardians professionally and enthusiastically each day.
• Maintain a happy, sanitary, safe, secure, and relaxed atmosphere in the classroom by following daily procedures and routines.

Requirements

At least 1-year experience working in a childcare center setting.
18 years or older
High school diploma or GED
Must pass a criminal background check
CPR/First Aid certified
Must be able to maintain physical activity with young children
Must have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of child development
Able to lift 35 lbs throughout the day
Strong written and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Early Childhood Education:
TCC, Diploma, or CDA
Master's Bachelor's or Associates degree in early childhood education
