Nordic Spa Maintenance Technician is critical to delivering on this promise. In this role, you are expected to exceed guest expectations by creating "picture perfect" guest experiences. You will achieve excellence by cleaning and maintaining the facility throughout your shift in addition to operating the pools, saunas, steams rooms, pool deck and outdoor areas for safe guest use. Key Focuses - Represent Alyeska Nordic Spa with the highest level of service excellence and be knowledgeable of the entire facility.
- Prevents minor maintenance issues from becoming significant issues by promptly addressing all assigned maintenance work orders.
- Reports/logs all maintenance issues immediately that are beyond the skill set of the employee to fix on their own.
- Completes washing schedules as assigned or outlined in daily checklists.
- Taking and testing water samples to monitor pool water chemistry and adjusting to maintain the quality standards.
- Checks that the pool filtration system is in good working condition at prescribed times throughout their shift.
- Maintains a safe and clean pool deck; by cleaning, clearing and maintaining all outdoor walkways, pathways, and green spaces.
- Assigned tasks are completed in a manner that does not usually require follow-up, both in terms of timeliness and quality.

Experience/Passions/Education - Previous Spa or Hotel Maintenance experience preferred
- Current Certified Pool Operators (CPO) license
- Able to lift, move, and handle pool chemicals responsibly
- Good judgement around safety and guest experience
- Comfortable with technology and open to new learning
- Must possess professional presentation
- Must be highly organized and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and able to complete many diverse tasks concurrently; both independently and cohesively as part of the team.
- Ability to focus on attention to detail, remaining professional and courteous at all times
Working Conditions: Due to 365-day-a-year operations, this position may be required to work long shifts that include late hours, weekends, and holidays. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders. This position spends a lot of time on their feet, multitasking competing priorities, and will spend a considerable amount of their shift outdoors in all seasons.
