Garden Center Foreman We are looking for a reliable and experienced
Garden Center Foreman to oversee the daily operations of our upscale garden center and assist with local deliveries and transport of materials. This role involves supervising a small team, managing plant care, maintaining order in the yard, and driving company vehicles to support inventory logistics and client deliveries.
Responsibilities and Duties - Supervise and support garden center staff in day-to-day operations
- Oversee plant care routines including watering, pruning, and pest control
- Receive, unload, and organize plant and hardscape deliveries
- Drive company vehicle for pickups, deliveries, and occasional site visits
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization of all retail and back-of-house areas
- Assist with merchandising and restocking inventory
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles used in daily operations
- Engage with customers when needed, representing the brand professionally
Job Requirements - Experience in a nursery, garden center, or horticulture environment preferred
- 1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- Strong plant identification and care knowledge (or willingness to learn)
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks daily
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with attention to detail
- Forklift or small equipment experience
