Dedicated to Excellence, Committed to Service The Electronics Engineer 1 performs regular maintenance on assigned equipment to prevent failures. The Engineer diagnoses and repairs electronic equipment when it fails and assists others in the department to complete projects. Responsibilities Diagnose Problems: Evaluate electronic equipment that is not working properly to determine the cause of failure. Ensure all necessary tests are run and report findings to relevant personnel. Repair or Install Equipment: Perform installations and repairs of security and electronic equipment as directed. Keep accurate records of repairs. Assist Co-workers: Collaborate with other Electronics Engineers to complete department projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular evaluations and maintenance to prevent equipment failures. FLSA Status: Scanning (Non-exempt) Qualifications Education: Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred: BS in Electrical Engineering. Work Experience: Required: 1+ years in electronics installation and repair. Preferred: 5+ years in electronics installation and repair. Physical Requirements and Skills: Ability to lift 50+ pounds, familiarity with electronic equipment, physical stamina for working in warm weather.
