The City of Warren is accepting applications for the position of Crime Analyst. Employees in this position will be collecting, evaluating and analyzing crime data to support the operational, tactical, and strategic
decision-making of the Warren Police Department. The position applies statistical and analytical techniques to identify crime trends, forecast potential issues, and assist in the development of evidence-based
strategies for crime prevention, resource deployment, and community safety initiatives.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Data Analysis, or a closely related field from an accredited United States University preferred.
o Diploma or official, sealed transcripts REQUIRED with application
• One (1) year relevant experience in data analysis, statistical evaluation, or a criminal justice related field.
• Driving record must meet the city standards for insurability.
• Possession of a license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Michigan.
• An applicant in this classification will be required to undergo a comprehensive background investigation prior to hire.
Pay rate: $65,000/year - $75,000/year (After 5 years)
