Gill Logistics Services is seeking a versatile Box Truck Driver that has an active CDL-A license to act as back up for tractor trailer drivers when needed. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and efficient delivery and pick-up of medical supplies and equipment while also supporting warehouse cleanliness. The Box Truck Driver will work primarily Monday through Friday with one week per month changing to include weekends as on call. Full-time hours (40 hours per week) are guaranteed.

Work Schedule:

• Regular Weeks: Monday to Friday, 8AM -4PM.
• On-Call Weekends: Once a month, including Saturday and Sunday (on-call), must remain within 30 minutes of the office facility.
• Weekend Pay: Paid for 8 hours each day on Saturday and Sunday, regardless of whether you are called in.

Essential Job Functions:

• Box Truck Duties:
  • Ensure medical items are properly secured and stored during transport.
  • Follow verification processes throughout order execution.
  • Obtain signatures and input POD information for every order.
  • Report order discrepancies to Dispatch and the Area Manager.
  • Troubleshoot delays and obstacles with Dispatch and Area Managers.
  • Complete handoffs at designated locations and meet with other drivers.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain and report any vehicle defects.
  • Follow all traffic laws and operate the box truck safely.
  • Secure and maintain assigned equipment (pallet jacks, straps).
  • Ensure the truck is fueled and cleaned for the next shift.
• Warehouse Duties:
  • Prepare and stage orders for delivery
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Communicate with teammates to locate requested hospital equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Competencies:

• Knowledge of company services and business procedures.
• Strong communication skills (telephone, in-person, written).
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Proven warehouse skills and knowledge of equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and tasks.
• Customer service-oriented and committed to company success.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May require working in a warehouse environment and driving for deliveries.

Travel Required:

• Yes, primarily for delivery routes.
