Job Title: Box Truck Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Box Truck Driver to join our delivery team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting windows, doors, and related materials to residential and commercial job sites. You will ensure timely, accurate, and damage-free deliveries while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26-foot box truck to deliver products to customers and job sites.
• Load and unload windows, doors, and materials using proper handling techniques.
• Verify delivery contents and obtain customer signatures upon delivery.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.
• Represent the company professionally at all times with a clean uniform and courteous demeanor.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of experience with Box Truck Driving
• Chauffeur's license with DOT card / CDL B
• Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 100 lbs using a lift gate with trucks
• Willingness to drive anywhere outside Detroit (excluding Flint, Detroit, and Ann Arbor)
• Excellent customer service skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CDL, Truck, Forklift, Loading, and Unloading
• Class B license

Work Environment

Start your day between 6:30-7am, completing 12-15 orders or larger orders daily, working 40-45 hours a week. You'll work mainly individually, with breaks to eat as needed. You'll assist in loading to ensure the product is secured and matches the delivery ticket. Products are delivered to houses, storage units, apartments, or other residential/commercial environments. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes steel-toed boots, gloves, and khaki pants, with shirts provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
