Administers anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures, monitors vital signs, and adjusts anesthesia levels as necessary. Collaborates with surgeons and other medical professionals to develop an anesthesia plan for each patient. Provides pre-operative consultations to patients to discuss anesthesia options and potential risks. Documents patients' medical histories and anesthesia administration details. Responds to emergencies during surgical procedures, such as cardiac arrest or respiratory distress. Education Requirement: ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology, required. Certifications: Board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology, pediatric anesthesiology, and pain medicine, required. Experience: Training in Complementary and Alternative Medicine, including clinical hypnosis or acupuncture, preferred. Physical Requirements include occasional bending/twisting, exposure to blood, chemicals, communicable diseases, lifting up to 40 lbs, frequent computer skills and hand use, and continuous requirements such as decision making, hearing acuity, and problem solving. Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with assistance or equipment.
